Blue Berry Vines

Posted by Delia Stone on 2/15/2008
I used to be anti-blue. Never cared much for the color ... but suddenly, in the last year or so, I have found myself fiercely attracted to blues of every shade. Especially gemmy blues, like the topaz and apatite in this pendant.

While this is not really specific to the genre of work found at metalworkers, I loved this pendant so much that I just wanted to share anyway.

Thanks for looking. :)

Creating artful jewelry is my passion. I enjoy working with wire. I've taken metal-smithing classes but wire wrap remains my first love. The process of making jewelry is almost like alchemy to me - transforming a pile of beads and wire into something wonderful and pleasing to the eye. I love the challenge of bringing a vision to life to share it with others.
I also do custom work. Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments.

Maybe you're an Indigo... not exactly sure what that means, but I know they're supposed to be the ones who are going to help raise everyone's level of consciousness to a level that will ease the ascension in 2012, if you're into that sort of thing. Supposedly the indigos resonate along the indigo portion of the spectrum, and that's where the name comes from? Still not sure why I never hear about "the carnelians" or "the olive drabs" or "the fuschias", but anyhoo...

And personally, I don't see any reason why this piece isn't right at home here at metalworkers. It's different, and approaches the this common medium from an uncommon angle (particularly with all the open space), and I myself like fresh takes on old songs, if you will. (I recently heard a bluegrass band cover Pink Floyd's "Another Brick In The Wall" and it was freakin' badass.)

RMC: There are really no distinct styles on metalworkers. Your style is unique, and keep showing your pieces. They are turning out great!
