Took a nice long month+ break after this winter's spurt of work. There were a few spots where I was completing a piece or more a day. Had to decompress.
So while I wait on a wire order I decided to make a simple little mini silversmith piece as a gift for someone special...
Contains: - Sterling silver - Faceted purple sapphire (Sri Lanka)

Another part of the Weapons of Minor Destruction series
the 3rd mini blade piece I made for a close friend here in Asheville. Contains 2 faceted white sapphires set into the handle kinda like kitchen knives have rivets.
I know the pic sucks. All the shots I took were either overexposed or kinda blurry. Oh well :)

I really like patina finishes and have used them on my fabricated work a good few times at this point. I was working on this piece and decided to see what it would look like to patina the whole wrap, sheet and wire alike. This may be one of the first times someone has tried that in this style of wire wrapping. I like it a lot and have gotten a lot of positive input on it from friends.
Contains: - Rhodolite garnet cab (Thailand?) - Faceted blue apatite (Brazil) - Ruby cab (Moguk Valley, Burma)
Thanks so much for looking at my work! :)

Made this one last night as a fun little something to do on a Sunday. Every section of sheet that went into its construction was cut and pieced together by eye. No measuring, templates, etc. Everything was done intuitively as I went and it turned out really cool I think :)
Contains: - All sterling silver sheet - Flush set faceted red sapphire (Thailand) - Tourmaline slice (Brazil)

This wrap is the first in a series I will be doing over the next couple weeks to celebrate my 3rd year of making jewelry (I started approx. between the 10th and 20th of November 3 years ago).
This wrap contains: - Sterling silver wire and fabricated sheet work - A tabular tricolor tourmaline from the Limoeiro mine (Barro de Selinas, Brazil) - 8 emerald crystals from the Muzo mine (Bogota, Colombia) - 4 faceted emeralds (3 bezel set, 1 flush set) from Brazil
I put a lot of hours, thought and detail into this piece and it represents a new direction I am working towards with my jewelry.
Thanks so much for looking and for everyone's amazing support over the years!
Peace, Isaac
ps. I will have better pics tomorrow when the sun is out :)

This is the first of at least four little opal pendants I will doing. For this piece, I bezel set a nice Aussie cab and then engulfed it in a nest of wire work. I like the effect and the flow turned out great if I do say so myself :)
Contains: - Sterling silver sheet and wire - Opal cab (Lightning Ridge, Australia)
Once again, thanks so much for looking at what I do. Your comments are much appreciated!
Much love, Isaac

*** NOT FOR SALE ***
I've been making small knives on a limited basis for close friends. I'm calling them the Weapons of Minor Destruction series. This was the first and so far I've also made a meat cleaver and a military style dagger. I have a machete, a scimitar, a butterfly knife and a few other designs ordered already and will also be making a few wraps with knives included into them.
This piece is a Kookri knife with a faceted Brazilian emerald flush set into the handle. The piece measures approx 2.5 inches long from the bail to the tip of the blade.
This piece is NOT for sale. I haven't taken it off since I made it.

This bracelet took quite a while. There is a lot of minute details hidden in here... It would best fit a small wrist.

Thanks so much for looking. I will try to get a better shot or two tomorrow in the sunlight.

The pics suck. I don't have a light box photo setup right now and the sunlight out today was almost like it was January or something...
This was a custom order

Just finished this piece tonight... Going to see Telepath after I post it up :)
This wrap contains: - All sterling silver sheet and wire - Bezel set blue sapphire (Brazil) - Bezel set blue sapphire (Sri Lanka) - Bezel set aquamarine (Brazil) - Emerald crystal (Muzo mine, Bogota, Colombia)
This piece is a cool one... I used this stipple texture I've been using in my silversmith work lately and it turned out really nicely. The cut stones are all bezel set and then engulfed in crazy coil stuff. Makes for a really organic feel I think. The colors really pop in person too.
As a side note... While making this piece, my pliers slipped and gashed my hand pretty good as seen in the 3rd pic. YAY! Worry not, no blood got onto the piece and I washed the pliers and my hand before going back to work :)

My flush settings are getting mad consistent at this point and I'm pretty happy about it.
This was a quick custom piece that was part of a multi pendant order I just got.

Thanks as always for looking :)

I like this one a lot. Its nice and compact and has a good movement.
Contains: - Sterling silver sheet and wire - Bezel set faceted citrine (Madeira, Brazil) - Red uvite tourmaline (Bahia, Brazil) - Red tourmaline (Cruzeiro mine, Brazil)
The citrine in this piece kills. Madeira produces the most beautiful citrine in the world... I only have a few left and I had to save one for myself.

So I originally made this wrap around a year ago for my buddy in SC. Well he was involved in a car accident and this wrap somehow flew out of the car and was directly hit by the tire.
When I heard about it, I figured the piece was done for but god was I surprised! The only obvious damage was that the two bezel settings were shifted a little and the bottom tourmaline was broken in half (but still firmly held in place!)
Craftsmanship, baby. Craftsmanship.
So I repaired it (filled in the crystal's space with a silvermsith section and here's the before and after...

I went a little overboard on the original plan for this piece and I'm glad I did. Its got pretties!
Contains: - 4x Tsavorite garnet cabs (Merelani Hills, Tanzania) - 3x Emerald crystals (Muzo mine, Colombia) - Neon blue apatite (Brazil) - Bicolor tourmaline (Aracuai, Brazil) - 2x Neon blue Paraiba tourmaline (Paraiba, Brazil) - Facet grade "jelly" green tourmaline (Afghanistan) - Faceted blue apatite (Brazil) - 2x Flush set white sapphires
Thats 15 stones total!
This piece is so attractive when you have a chance to hold it in your hand.

Cool contrast between light and dark tones in the silversmithing in this piece...
Contains: - 3x faceted red sapphire (Thailand) - Rhodolite garnet cab (Thailand)
note: the baby blue colored stuff at the bottom is essentially poster tack that I used to stand the piece up for this picture.

This little guy rules. I really like it. It uses silversmithing in a really minimalistic way for an effect that turned out just as I had planned...
By the way, my fingers are grimey in the pics because I had just finished using the buffing machine and that gets messy.

Ok so I like to word "spiffy"...
This piece is awesome, I love it. I usually don't feel like wearing new work but every now and then there's a piece that I can't help but rock around town. This is one of them for sure...
The pear cut tourmaline in this wrap is from a very small Indian deposit discovered many years ago which no longer produces material today. I got about 6 facets from that locale over a year ago and this is only the 2nd I've been able to part with.
By the way, this wrap is a small one... It measures 1 3/4 inches long by just under an inch wide.
This wrap contains: - All sterling silver wire and sheet - Bezel set, pear cut blue/green tourmaline (India) - Bezel set, round cut blue apatite (Brazil)

Another piece following the same kind of design concept as the last two, this one is really cool. I stayed up until 5am finishing it. I couldn't call it a night. I also managed to stab myself underneath the side of my thumbnail with my pliers. Ouch! So for this gallery I have a little step by step of the final processes I went trough to complete the piece.
Contains: - All sterling silver sheet and wire - 5 Bezel set, faceted blue apatites (Brazil) - 1 Flush set, faceted red sapphire (Thailand)

This is probably the most complicated silversmith work I have done in a piece to date. I put a lot of thought and preplanning into how this was made.
Contains: - Flush set, faceted ruby (Moguk valley, Burma) - Pink sapphire crystal (Ratnapura, Sri Lanka) - 5 gram tsavorite garnet crystal (Merelani hills, Tanzania) - Chrome tourmaline (Nigeria) - Spessartine garnet (Nigeria) - Spinel (Burma) - Blue sapphire crystal (Ratnapura, Sri Lanka) - Bezel set, faceted paraiba tourmaline (Paraiba, Brazil)

This piece started back in October while I was attending the Echo Project festival near Atlanta. I was watching RJD2 spin a really enjoyable set from our vending booth while wire wrapping. I completed a bail for a piece and never finished it. Too much mischief to get into I guess... Well, its done now.
I named it the mask because I kinda see half a face in the silversmithed section of this piece.

Smaller pendant (2.5 x 1 in) I finished last night...
This wrap contains: - Emerald crystal (Muzo mine, Bogota, Colombia) - Bezel set faceted orange sapphire (Sri Lanka) - Bezel set faceted yellow sapphire (Sri Lanka) - Herkimer diamond (Ace of diamonds mine, Herkimer, NY) - Red/purple capped greenish copper tourmaline (*info on locale below*)
**The tourmaline in this piece came out of a 40 year old Brazilian collection one of my friends recently bought out. We have no specific locale info on the piece other than it is OLD and from Brazil. We assume it is from the region of Barro de Selinas but as far as a specific mine, we cannot be sure. None of us have ever seen material like it. The termination has hints of red and purple in it and the clarity is exceptional. You will likely not see this variety of tourmaline anywhere else.
Pics are a little so-so. It was overcast and snowing today.
Thanks for looking at my work!

This piece turned out really sweet and has inspired me to continue on this theme some more. The pendant turned out exactly as I had sketched it and I plan to have a belt buckle completed pretty soon featuring this same character so be on the lookout.
