peridot, demantoid garnet, imperial topaz.
This was the first piece wherein I tried to wrap a small crystal. It worked out pretty well. I really was stoked about how this one turned out. It also had half-round wire along the underside of the bail to protect it. That was a B*, but worth it in the end. i don't know who the first person to do that was, but I hope it's considered common knowledge now- not tryin to rip off anyone's good idea. (I tell people that I picked that idea up from someone else, btw.)

My name is nick. I am 27 years old and I live out in the cut in Southeast Ohio. I have been collecting rocks since I was 15, and I started making jewelry about 16 months ago. Since then, I've become really boring because this is about all I want to do. Thanks to everyone who has encouraged me with their kind words, constructive criticism, and tips. Also, thanks to all the metalworkers.org artists whose work consistently baffles and inspires me. :) Please leave me comments- I'm after some feedback!
