colorado love

colorado love

i made this piece right after i got back home from boulder, where i got stuck for 3 weeks after my suby broke down on the way home from STS9

i just want to give MAD LOVE to dylan, john, matt and kristyn for showing such hospitality

anyways, this piece has a bunch of tourmaline: teal (?) neon blue (paraiba), black cap (pakistan), clear (?) and a fatty apple green (?)

it's just the beginning of me getting my shit together...just wait!

the beastly beauty [FREEEK X cortex flex collabo #1]

the beastly beauty [FREEEK X cortex flex collabo #1]

as an artist, this is by far the nastiest piece that i have ever been a part of. i would like to introduce the first HEADPIECE glass/wire combo that has a easily REMOVEABLE wrap (front and center with the tri color tourmaline facet) that you can TAKE OFF AND WEAR. i wanna give props to gonzo because one of his sick marble sculptures gave me the idea.

anyways, this heady wrap on a 24" G-on-G double perk FREEEK MEGA HEADY contains:

-prehnite with epidote (said to prevent accidnets before they happen....good to have on a multi-thousand dollar glass pipe)
-spodumene from pakistan with a nasty purple view from one angle
-amber
-2X blue kyanite
-blue (indicolite) tourmaline
-green tourmaline
-green-->clear tourmaline
-3X moldavite
-3X bi term black tourmaline
-around 8oz of ss and 50 so hours of work
-a lot of LOVE

i hope you guys like it

hello, my name is bobby g. i am 20 years old and living in madison, wisconsin where i am working as an artist in metalworking but primarily blowing glass, making pipes to pay the rent

i am inspired by the forms and forces and surround me and try to channel that energy in the work i produce.

i wanna give props to everyone on this site. all the energy that flows back and forth is bringing change in this craft so rapidly. we truly are chaning the world, not just the world of art.

jah bless

TopNotchWraps: I am definately down with that. I could start doing some work with you after the new year. If you would want one of something done, make two. Then I can make two piece and match work dollar for dollar and you could pick which one you want. Then we just trade up on work. If that if alright with you? Hit me back if that sounds good.
