Madame Flutterbye

Meet Madame Flutterbye! Her wire lace wings are embellished with amethyst marquis stones and Swarovski crystals. Rich gold wire elements glimmer against the darkened silver wings. Her face is carved bone and her body is a fine specimen of green Russian amazonite.

Madame Flutterbye is number four in my Winged Things series.

The process of making jewelry is almost like alchemy to me - transforming a pile of beads and wire into something wonderful and pleasing to the eye.
