I have long wanted to create vessels in wire but it always seemed like in would fall into the PITA (pain in the a...) category and so it's remained on my list of 'intentions' for a couple of years now ... until I saw Mary Tuckers vessels. Then I was on fire and had to make one NOW. And so I made this one. I kept it small, as you can see in the pic where it's size is compared to a penny. I wanted it to be small enough to be worn as a keepsake pendant.

This was my first experiment, but it won't be my last. There are plenty of flaws, but over all I consider the experiment a success. I am most impressed with the fact that the lid, once closed, is locked in place and will not accidentally come undone. It must be delibertly opened. I'm very happy with that lil' accomplishment. :)

Creating artful jewelry is my passion. I enjoy working with wire. I've taken metal-smithing classes but wire wrap remains my first love. The process of making jewelry is almost like alchemy to me - transforming a pile of beads and wire into something wonderful and pleasing to the eye. I love the challenge of bringing a vision to life to share it with others.
I also do custom work. Please feel free to contact me with questions or comments.

    Thanks!
Delia Stone: Thanks Oldschool and Smarty! :) I am working on ironing out the kinks, so to speak. I just posted vessel #2 as well as a wire bead I created using the same technique. I apprecaite your comments and I will keep working towards refinement, Smarty. :)
