A Study of VesselsPosted by Delia Stone on 7/30/2010I have long wanted to create vessels in wire but it always seemed like in would fall into the PITA (pain in the a...) category and so it's remained on my list of 'intentions' for a couple of years now ... until I saw Mary Tuckers vessels. Then I was on fire and had to make one NOW. And so I made this one. I kept it small, as you can see in the pic where it's size is compared to a penny. I wanted it to be small enough to be worn as a keepsake pendant.
This was my first experiment, but it won't be my last. There are plenty of flaws, but over all I consider the experiment a success. I am most impressed with the fact that the lid, once closed, is locked in place and will not accidentally come undone. It must be delibertly opened. I'm very happy with that lil' accomplishment. :) Images
