This piece tells the story of Bimba's Lament, which is a poem about Bimba, thje Buddha's wife. Before Siddartha was enlightened, he and his wife were royalty in India, and he gave her a necklace of gold with rubies, sapphires, emeralds and diamonds. Bimba should have been happy, and on the surface she was. On the inside however, she was very sad and depressed, unfullfilled by wealth and and gifts, and this she kept hidden and unknown to others.
This wrap contains 18k Gold and Fine Silver wrapped Ruby (Burma), Sapphire (Burma), Emerald (Muzo, Columbia), and a Champagne "Sugar Cube" Diamond (Africa).
The backside contains lessor-known stones which are dark to represent Bimba's secret unhappiness. They are Rutile (Brazil), Fire Agate (Arizona?), Uvite (Brazil), and Faceted Sphene (Pakistan).

He drove too close to the earth, setting it on fire. To save the earth, Zeus struck Phaethon out of the sky with his thunderbolts, plunging him into the sea. His sisters (the Heliades, the daughters of Helios, the Sun), turned into poplar trees on the bank of the Eridanus River,

Moldavite, Dravite Tourmaline, Quartz, and Green Tourmaline make up this piece. All the single barrels are made with 30 gauge wire, as I have run out of 26. While it took an insane amount of time to wind that much wire, it came out blingin.

This is my first piece after Wakarusa. Lots of inspiration from all you other wrappers that I met went into this one. The seven stones range from yellow to deep red. This wrap contains Almandine Garnet that I mined in VT, Spessartine Garnet, natural citrine, Imperial Topaz, Wolfanite, Apatite, and a faceted Citrine.
I recently added the additional weaves at the bottom.

This piece came out really tight. It was originally going to include Imperial Topaz but it just wasn't working out nicely. The end result is this piece which contains a great big Tourmaloine form Brazil, Zincite from Poland, and a Spessartine Garnet.

This wrap was a huge challenge. It is a custom piece that contains Tourmaline, Jasper, and three VERY brittle stones: selenite, Azurite, and Malachite. Wrapping these crystals without breaking them was really tough, but I'm very pleased with how this giant wrap came out. It is about 2" by 4".
No joke business.
